Arrabina

Arrabina is a two-ingredient clinical fiber formula. The primary ingredient — larch arabinogalactan (Larix occidentalis) — is a highly branched, water-soluble polysaccharide extracted from the heartwood of sustainably harvested Western Larch trees. Unlike linear-chain prebiotics such as inulin or FOS, arabinogalactan's branched structure resists rapid fermentation in the proximal colon, allowing it to reach the distal colon where Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus populations are most concentrated. This selective fermentation profile produces high levels of butyrate — the preferred fuel source for colonocytes — while generating significantly less gas and bloating than other prebiotic fibers. The secondary ingredient — upcycled wheat straw fiber (Triticum aestivum) — provides insoluble cellulose and hemicellulose for mechanical bulk, supporting healthy transit time and stool formation. Together, the soluble prebiotic fraction and the insoluble structural fraction create a complete fiber profile. One scoop (6g) provides 5g of total dietary fiber — 18% of the recommended daily value.
