Human Nature Medicine — the clinic where every formula in this line was first developed — has been caring for patients for over a decade. Human Nature began with a question that kept surfacing in clinical practice: how do we give more people access to the herbal traditions that work and they will enjoy?
For years, every formula we made was for a specific person with a specific need. A patient struggling with seasonal transitions. A mother looking for immune support that she could trust. Someone navigating the exhaustion of modern life and looking for something rooted in something older and deeper than the latest wellness trend.
Those formulas — refined through years of clinical observation, patient feedback, and deep study of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western herbalism — became the foundation of Human Nature.

the five seasons
Chinese medicine doesn't count four seasons. It counts five. Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn, and Winter — each governed by an element, an organ system, and a set of qualities that shape how we eat, move, rest, and heal.
This is a clinical framework refined over thousands of years combining the metaphors and artistry of natural medicine and the scientific method. And it's the organizing principle behind every seasonal formula we make. Each oxymel is designed for the organ system and energetic quality of its season — a reflection of how the body actually works across the year.
small batches because we love medicine making
We make everything in small batches because the process demands it. Our oxymels are steeped for four full weeks in whole form, start to finish. The herbs sit in raw apple cider vinegar and raw wildflower honey and do what they've always done: release their medicine slowly.
It means every bottle is made the way it should be made — with patience, attention, and respect for the process. Sometimes that means we sell out.
where it comes from matters
We source organic and wildcrafted herbs whenever possible. Every ingredient is listed by its full botanical name because transparency is our baseline. We work with small farms, ethical wildcrafters, and suppliers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability.
Our raw apple cider vinegar is unfiltered and unpasteurized. Our honey is raw, unheated, and sourced from small apiaries. These are the minimum standard for a living, effective preparation.
